Hospital Visits and Cancer Support

A hospital visiting team is in place to help English speakers who find themselves in a Bordeaux hospital but are distant from or inaccessible to their nearest and dearest.

The team has English/French bilingual speakers and a visitor may provide much needed re-assurance to non-French speaking patients, particularly during what can initially be a very difficult time for the patient.

Cancer Support France

Supporting English-speaking people in France whose lives have been touched by cancer.

Cancer Support France has trained volunteers to offer free and confidential support to cancer patients, their carers and their families. Support continues beyond bereavement.
