We hope that you are all staying fit and healthy in these difficult times.
This year we are unable to have our annual Bazaar which is always a lovely occasion that raises money for our church and the charities that we support. Giving to our church is much reduced this year due to the Covid restrictions and we need to find a way of raising some money.
One of the most successful stalls at the Bazaar is always the Silent Promises where prizes are donated by the congregation, attendees place bids for each item and the highest bids win at the end of the day.
This year we will have our Silent Promises online and this email is a call for contributions. Bidding will be restricted to friends of the Bordeaux Anglican Church. Anything that you can offer is valuable and very welcome. No personal information (names, email addresses etc) will be visible online.
How about donating a session teaching/talking about your hobby or ironing or a weekend in your maison secondaire or a guided walk around one of your favourite places or a cycling trip or prepare a small dinner which you can deliver to someone’s home or …or …..
So far we have already received nine generous offers but we like to increase that to at least twenty so please let your imagination run wild!
All your contributions, small or large, are valued and will make a big difference.
Please email details of your contribution by Wednesday 18 November to iancouper1@gmail.com
Best wishes,
The Committee
